Pace Communications Launches Wachovia’s CollegeReady Magazine
Figuring Out How to Pay for College Just Got Easier

Greensboro, NC (March 2007)—Pace Communications, the world’s largest private custom publishing company, announced that it will expand its portfolio of work for Wachovia Corporation with a new magazine for college-bound students and their parents. CollegeReady provides valuable information on federal financial aid, college savings plan options, scholarship strategies, identify theft on campus and much more.  By taking the guesswork out of planning for college, CollegeReady explains its benefits to students from a range of economic backgrounds.

With content targeted to both parents and teens, the magazine addresses questions that arise in the college application and decision-making process such as navigating financial-aid applications, finding scholarships and grants, and choosing the perfect college.

“This is an exciting project to create a magazine that appeals to teenagers, but also is fact-filled and sensible enough to address the needs of educators and parents,” said Craig Waller, Chief Marketing  and Sales Officer for Pace.

The publication also features the advice of College Parents of America and includes a profile of Teach for America, the organization that encourages young people to teach in high-need schools. Wachovia, a leading provider of federally sponsored student loans, recently was named a founding national partner for Teach for America, honoring the bank’s donations to help the program expand.

“With college costs continuing to escalate and with 66 percent of all students at four-year colleges receiving financial aid, we believe it is important to provide a tool to help families make informed choices about paying for college,” said Kathy Claar, Consumer Channel Director for Wachovia.

CollegeReady is being mailed to high school guidance counselors around the country, and is available at select Wachovia Financial Centers.
